#6: Fall asleep in under 1 minute
You probably aren’t going to believe this. I didn’t when I first read it. But it really does work! All you do is the 4-7-8 breathing trick:
- Fill your lungs by breathing in through your nose for 4 seconds.
- Hold your breath for 7 seconds.
- Exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds.
This works for me every time. On tough nights I might have to do two or three rounds of it but I’ve never had to do more than that. It deeply relaxes your breath and your body and helps you let go of the tension in your head and body. Try it and let me know if it works for you, too!
