#18: Stick to a routine
I thought I had a handle on this pretty quickly after my child was born. Our lives immediately revolved around napping and bedtime – but lately our routine has reached a whole new level. We now have a complete routine for every day of the week – down to what we eat for each meal and where we go for outings. Every day of the week has it’s own set meals, chores and places to go. We have set laundry days, hiking days, beach days, gardening days, etcetcetc. I’ve found taking the thinking out of things like meal and excursion planning has been very freeing – no reinventing the wheel every day. It saves me from extra stress and a lot of planning time.
