I came across this New York Times article this morning. Ahhh…the benefits of accidentally waking up too early and not being able to get back to sleep… 😉
It’s about the disparity in parental benefits between the “primary” caregiver and the second parent. What I didn’t see in the article was any mention of single parent families. I think a single parent (especially with no other active parent) should be able to get the benefits awarded to two parents. What do you think?
